The Early Bird Catches The Worm!

We’re at the shop a little early this morning! We’ve got a few things to take care of before Christmas comes!
One of our goals is to get this mural laid out.
As you can see we’re still in the early stages. Our table is quite messy during this stage!
In the photo shown above is the drawing for this mural. You can see what the final product will look like! Can you tell where on the mural the drawing is currently placed?

Another one of our more time-sensitive goals is to get this custom wolf fired and glazed in time for Christmas! We’re cutting it really close…
This photo was taken during the drying stage, before being bisque fired.
This wolf will be added to a name plaque similar to this (to see more visit our Photos & Ideas page) as a gift for a relative.
It’s currently cooling off from the bisque firing as we speak! Once it reaches a low temperature of 500°F (freezing, right?) we’ll be able to crack the lid of the kiln to speed up the cooling process. When it’s cool enough to touch we’ll be able to glaze it and throw it back into the kiln! Hopefully it’ll be done in time! We will definitely show the final product once we have it!

We will have another update before Christmas! Have a great day, everyone!
