Wet Dog Tile Co. creates stunning custom mosaic borders and murals featuring unique free-form decorative tile, lovingly called “Friends”. Each piece is handcrafted with care, from the initial clay mold to the final glaze. Our New Hampshire studio is powered by solar energy and we use minimal machinery to reduce our environmental impact. By partnering with animal rescue organizations, we turn your purchase into a force for good. I had the opportunity to work with Dan Kurtz with wet dog tile company to redo the tile in the bathroom for our beach home in North Carolina. Dan and company made this renovation activity flawless and easy. The outcome was simply amazing and everyone who has seen the finished product thinks it’s creative and beautiful. Dan was a pleasure to work with, always available by phone or e-mail, with terrific suggestions and patience in dealing with my many design ideas. A truly professional and creative organization! I sent Dan several photos of my inspiration setting, required a custom mold tile (art deco lighthouse) and even asked for a revision of one of their current “friends” (moose in the left bottom corner) to fit my project specs and Dan accommodated all of my requests without hesitation. I am in Ohio, so the majority of our communication was on email with just a couple of phone calls and the whole process was brilliant and easy. Very responsive in email and he answered the phone each time I called. Never had to leave a voicemail! He sent tile and glass samples for approval, produced a beautiful pre-production sketch and sent the rope border early so my tiler could finish the surrounding backsplash until the mural was ready to ship. The finished product arrived on time and on budget, and packaged so carefully! Dan even provided advice on the best grout options (color and brand). I LOVE my mural! The whole thing makes me smile every morning when I make my coffee and my friends and neighbors are in awe of the workmanship. Thanks, Dan, for producing such a beautiful piece of custom artwork for our new space and making it all come together so easily!
I found Wet Dog Tile online and am so happy I did. They are so easy to work with, and they customize each piece just for you. I ordered tile for a fireplace surround and a kitchen backsplash and am very happy with the results. This is custom work and you will have to wait a while for your project to be done, but so worth it. Happily recommend them to anyone.
Dan has been so great to work with and we got exactly what we want in spite of doing everything remotely. The end result is stunning and the photos don’t do it justice. We are on to our second project with Wet Dog Tile!
